Joan Lawrence

Joan Lawrence, beloved wife and friend, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. Born in Newark, NJ, Joan was raised in North Arlington before settling in Caldwell, where she lived for 50 years.

Joan was a devoted wife to Allen, her beloved husband of 55 years. The two met through her cousin and quickly forged a bond that would last a lifetime. Together, they shared countless adventures, from the beautiful streets of Nashville, Tennessee, to the excitement of Atlantic City and road trips.

Joan had a love for life, with a special passion for square dancing, which brought joy to her. She was also an avid animal lover and was known for her warmth, kindness, and the close-knit neighborhood they were a part of in Caldwell, surrounded by wonderful neighbors who became dear friends.

Joan will be greatly missed by her loving husband Allen, her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave., Caldwell, NJ. A prayer service will take place at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell.

Joan’s family invites friends and loved ones to join them as they celebrate her life and say their final goodbyes.
