JoAnne M. Leo

JoAnne M. Leo (nee La Marca) 66, of Union passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2013 . The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union on Tuesday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass will be in St. Michael Church in Union at 10:15 am. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Bethlehem, Pa, she lived in Irvington before moving to Union 60 years ago. She was a self employed beautician for many years. She later became the assistant manager of Here's the Story Bookstore in Union for the last 18 years. Also she was a former vice president of the Connecticut Farms School PTA in Union.

JoAnne was married to her husband Frank Leo Sr. and is the mother of Joseph A. Leo and his late husband James D. Smith Jr, Frank P. Leo, and Alyssa JoAnne Pallitta and her husband Rosario. She is also the grandmother of Emma Grace and Ava  Elizabeth Pallitta, and the daughter of the late Antoinette (nee Amato) and Guiseppe La Marca.
