John Almeida

John L. Almeida, 95 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on December 6, 2014.

A funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road North Arlington on February 9, 2015 at 10 AM. Arrangements are by the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union.

Born in Alcains, Portugal, John served in the Pacific Theater in the Army during WWII. He was a life member of of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

John was preceded in death by his wife Mary. He is survived by his sons Roy (Guida) Almeida of Spokane, WA and James (Jean) Almeida of LaVista, NE; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Antonio (Lena) Almeida of Toms River, NJ and his sister Celeste Pereira of Lisbon, Portugal.
