John Capaccio 98 of Toms River, N.J.

passed away on Sunday February 17, 2019

at the N.J. Veterans Memorial Home in Edison, N.J.

The Funeral Service will be in the

Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, N.J.

on Wednesday February 27, 2019 at 10:30 am.

Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J.

Visitation will be on Tuesday February 26, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in Newark, N.J. he lived in Toms River for the last 12 years.

He was a Forman for Alcan Aluminum Corp. in Woodbridge, N.J.

for 10 years retiring 30 years ago.

A veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII,

he served on a minesweeper in 7 different theatres of war.

He was a former member of the Bloomfield, N.J. Senior Citizens Club.

John was the devoted husband of the late Jennie (nee Barone) Capaccio

for 77 years until she passed away in 2017.

He is the loving father of Ross Capaccio and his wife Jo Ann, and Charles Capaccio.

He is also survived by 6 cherished grandchildren as well as 8 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents

the late Immaculata (nee De Williams) and the late Rosario Capaccio

and 10 Brothers and Sisters.
