We celebrate John’s life, John Martin Capik, Jefferson Twp. & Carteret N.J. Husband of Maria (nee D’Agostino), Brother of Edward Capik, brother- in-law of Kathleen Quigley Capik.  Son of the late John and Sophie Zawadzki Capik. Son in law of Caterina D’Agostino, and brother in law of Daniel D’ Agostino. Nephew of Mike Capik, Uncle of Allison, Kimberly, Brianna, Alexa, and Juliana. Cousin of many. He was a sergeant with the Amtrak Police Department with 37 years of service. He recently celebrated his 60 ^th birthday in 2 countries. It was beautiful. He passed away of complications of an infection, diabetes, and of the heart.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Monday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass will be in our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark (Ironbound) at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Perth Amboy. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. For directions or to send condolences visit galantefh.com.
