John X. Kauffman III

John Xavier Kauffman III, 72 of Essex Fells passed away on October 31, 2013 at Mountainside Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Tuesday from 7-9 PM.

Born in Orange, John lived in West Orange for ten years. He has lived in Roseland and Essex Fells since 1951. John worked at Automatic Switch Co. in Florham Park for 35 years before retiring in 2001.

John is the husband of the late Margaret C. (nee Harte). Father of John X. Kauffman IV; Rachel Grodsky and her husband Larry; and Rebecca Scelba and her husband Drew. Grandfather of Evan and Nathan Grodsky.
