John Kostis Mikros

John Kostis Mikros 40, of Springfield passed away on Tuesday October 7, 2014.

The funeral will be on Saturday  from the Galante  Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ at 8:30 am. The Funeral Liturgy will be in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 721 Rahway Avenue Union, NJ at 10 am. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. The visitation will be on Friday from 6 - 9 pm.

Born in New York City, he lived in Union for many years before moving to Springfield 16 years ago. He is a partner in the Huck Finn Diner located  on Morris Avenue in Union for the last 14 years.

John was married to his wife Joanna (nee Manolakis) for 16 years, and is the father of Sophia, and Erini. He is the son of Irene (nee Gergatsoulis) and Kostis Mikros. He is also the brother of Sophia Sarris and her husband Mihalis, and is  survived by many loving family members,
