John R. Simkovich of Monroe Twp.  died at the home  on November 23, 2013.

Funeral  from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union NJ, on Wednesday at 8:30 AM with a service at 10 AM in the funeral home. Interment Calvary Cemetery, New York. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

John was born in Kent Pennsylvannia, raised in Manhattan lived in Livingston 50 years and Monroe 3 years.

John earned a masters  degree in Electrcal Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute. He was an electrical engineer for ITT Nutley and ITT/FEC Paranus as a Project Manager and Program Director for 44 years, retired 25 years. John was a Army Veteran of WW II and a lifetime member of IEEE.

Loving husband of Michele (Nee Mazzola) Devoted father of Joanne Freeman, Diane Deferrari and her husband Pablo & the late Steven J. Simkovich. Step father of John Arnebold & Michele J. Lannon and her husband Michael. Brother of the late Edward a. Simkovich. Dear grandfather of Alicia Freeman & Ronald DeAngelus III.
