Jose A. Dominguez, 66, of Kearny, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Clara Maas Medical Center in Belleville, surrounded by his loving family.

The funeral will be at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Thursday at 8 pm. Cremation is private. Visitation will be on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm.

Born in Spain, Jose lived in the Ironbound section of Newark for 14 years, before moving to Kearny 20 years ago. He was a self-employed contractor at J.A.D. Contracting in Kearny for many years.

A great dad and a wonderful & generous husband; he always gave the best advice to his daughters! Jose was a big fan of the Real Madrid Soccer Team and had a love for fishing.

Beloved husband of Ana Brito; Loving father of Sofia Antonio and Stephanie Dominguez; Brother of Marrisa, Lolita, Yvone, Sylvia, Lala, and the late Manuel Dominguez; Son of Aurea (nee Gomes) and the late Manuel Antonio Dominguez.
