Joseph DiBlasi  91, of Union passed away at home on June 29, 2019.

Husband of Krystyna (nee Zylowska)

Father of Joseph John DiBlasi and John Joseph DiBlasi.

Brother of Antoinette and Lucy.

Grandfather of Joseph, Chase and Alessia.

Joseph was born and lived in the Ironbound section of Newark before moving to Union 50 years ago.

He worked for Tomae Construction in Newark for many years.

He was fondly know as the "Concrete King" while working as a contractor there.

Joseph was a member of Local 872.

He enjoyed spending most of his leisure time fishing and boating.

Joseph was in the Navy during WWII and was assigned to the USS New Jersey in the Pacific Theater and Korea.

He was a member of the Brick Memorial American Legion Post No. 348.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave on Wednesday July 3 from 6 - 8 PM.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday July 5 at Holy Spirit Church in Union at 10:30 AM.
