Joseph J. Hrdina Jr. 65, of Union and Manahawkin, died on Friday August 23 ^rd , 2013.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, N.J. on Monday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass will be in St Michael Church in Union at 10:15 am. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 pm.

Born in Newark he lived in Union for 30 years, he also had a summer residence in Manahawkin at the same time. He was a supervisor of radiology in the Saint Barnabas Health Care System for 45 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 4504 in Union, and the Columbia Italian American Club of Union. He also was a former coach for the Union Twp. Little League, and the Union Twp. Teener League for many years.

Joe was married to his loving wife Sharon (nee Marbach) for 40 years. He is the father of Felecia Hrdina-Brown and her husband Jason, Joseph Hrdina III and his wife Jaclyn, and Daniel Hrdina. He was the son of the late Rose (nee Adamo) and Joseph Hrdina Sr. He was also the brother of Frank Hrdina and his wife Maria, as well as the grandfather of Jack Joseph Brown,  Cara Hrdina, and Devin Danielle Brown, and is also the uncle of loving nieces and nephews.
