Joseph A. Lancieri

Joseph A. Lancieri 94, of Union passed away on Friday May 9, 2014, at home.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union on Wednesday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South Orange at 10:30 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm.

Born in Newark he lived in South Orange for many years before moving to Union 23 years ago. He was a self employed Watchmaker in Newark and then Maplewood for 70 years, retiring 2 years ago. He also was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army.

Joe was married to his late wife Elena (Helen) Lancieri (nee Pecoraro) for 45 years until she passed away in 1991. He is the father of Teresa Pilone and her husband Rich, and is also the son of the late Teresa (nee Rigata) and Antonio Lancieri. as well as the brother of Connie Longo, the late Jeanne Liguori, and Frank Lancieri.  He is the grandfather of Kristopher and Gillian Pilone.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers that
