Joseph Liquori

Joseph Liquori, 87 of Hillside passed away on August 13, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Joseph at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday August 15 from 3-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Church in Hillside on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park.

Born in Irvington, Joseph lived in Hillside. He was a proud Navy veteran from 1954 to 1957, and honorably served in the Korean Conflict. Joseph was an iron worker for many years with Local #480, later Local #11, retiring 20 years ago. Joseph was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, and enjoyed time spent bowling. He enjoyed time spent at car races, but most cherished being with his friends and his children.

The beloved husband of the late Mary Liquori, Joseph was the loving father of Michael Liquori and his wife Debbie, Daniel Liquori and his wife Shannon, his daughter-in-laws Dale and Teresa and the late sons Robert Liquori and Joseph Liquori. He was the proud grandfather of Alyssa, Alexa, Michael, Anthony and Alexis, and is also survived by his brother John Lathrop and by his sister Violet Hvasta.
