Joseph A. Nuzzo

Joseph A. Nuzzo 84, of Lincroft died on Saturday February 18th, 2012 at home.


The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Thursday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass is at St. Michael Church, Union at 10:15 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation is Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.


Born in Newark he lived in Irvington before moving to Lincroft 18 years ago. He was the owner of Busichio Nuzzo Trucking and Scrap Metal Co. in Newark for 40 years and later he became a toll collector on the Garden State Parkway for 10 years until he retired 18 years ago.


Joseph was married to his late wife Lillian Rose (nee Busichio) for 63 years until she died in 2011. He was the father of Joanne Laue and her husband Joseph, Maureen Dennis and her husband John, and Joseph M. Nuzzo. He was the son of the late Joseph Nuzzo, and his wife Sarah, and the brother of Mildred Cervasio, and Joan Gizzo, as well as the grandfather of Dina Bach, Cheryl Krol, John E, and Michael A. Dennis.


In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to The American Lung Association 333 Highway 46 # B Fairfield, N.J. 07004 in his memory.
