Josephine Muia, (nee Faleo), 78, beloved wife, Mother, Grandmother of Kenilworth, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral from Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Monday, at 8:30 a.m. Funeral mass at St. Theresa’s Church, Kenilworth, NJ at 10:00 a.m.  Entombment is at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ.  Visitation is on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Josephine was born in Foggia, Italy.  She moved to the US in 1956 and settled in Newark, NJ before moving to Kenilworth in 1978.  She spent most of her time caring for her family.  She took great pride in cooking homemade Italian meals for her family and caring for their well-being.

She was a member of St. Theresa’s Church and the Madonna Della Fontana Society.

She is survived by her three loving daughters, Maria Tsakos and husband Paul, Dolores Masucci and husband Nick, and Lisa Ramundo and husband Marco and a sister, Theresa.  She is predeceased by her husband Placido in 2014, her parents, and five siblings Antonio, Maria, Antoinette, Lena, Frank.

“Nonna” will be dearly missed by her five cherished granddaughters, Alexandra, Daniella, Brielle, Nicole, Madeline.  Her endless love and devotion for them will never be forgotten.
