Julia Puopolo (nee Malanga), 96 passed away on August 9, 2013.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union, on Tuesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass is at St. James Church in Springfield at 11 AM. Entombment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Monday from 3-7 PM.

Born in Newark, Julia lived in Springfield since 1953.

Julia was the wife of the Late Louis A. Puopolo, Jr.; Beloved mother of Louis R. Puopolo and Lois Giello. She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

The family of Julia Puopolo wishes to thank Bridgeway Care Center and Compassionate Care Hospice for the wonderful care and support provided to her during the last two years of her life.
