Julio Fernandez

Julio Fernandez, 67 of Wake Forest, NC, formerly of Elizabeth and Roselle Park, NJ, passed away at home on November 5, 2016.

Funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Saturday at 8:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Genevieve Church, 200 Monmouth Rd. Elizabeth at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday from 4-8 PM.

Born in Spain, Julio was a longtime resident of Elizabeth and Roselle Park before moving to Wake Forest in 2016. He worked as a warehouse selector for Pathmark, and later C&S Wholesale in Avanel for many years before retiring. Julio loved the beach and most enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.

Julio was the beloved husband of Dolores; loving father of Julio Jose Fernandez and his wife Veronica; dear grandfather of Julian and Andrew; brother of Ramon Fernandez and his wife Concepcion and Antonio Fernandez and his wife Dolores; son-in-law of Concepcion Dominguez, and was the loving uncle to several nieces and nephews.
