June E. (nee Hanson) Duffy, 96, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 7, 2019 .

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Tuesday at 9 am. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Theresa’s Church in Kenilworth at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 pm.

Born in Lewisburg, PA, June lived in Newark before getting married and moving to Kenilworth in 1953. She held various secretarial positions for many years before retiring from Union Chamber of Commerce. June loved playing the organ and solving jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed reading Lilian Jackson Braun books, and watching MASH on TV.

Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Duffy; loving mother of Kathleen Smith and  her husband Roger, Patricia Duffy, and Elizabeth Vazquez and her husband Manuel. Grandmother of Richard Scheer and his late wife Delynn, Cynthia Dougherty and her husband Michael, Samantha Smith, Lauren Mathews and her husband Richard, Robert Vazquez and his wife Kelly, Manny Vazquez and his wife Vanessa, Amelia Vazquez, and the late Kimberly Anne Duffy. Great grandmother of 8.
