Kathleen MInichini, age 64 of Union New Jersey, passed from this life on December 30, 2020.

Kathy was the daughter of the late Rocco James Burdi and Marie Teresa Burdi (née LoCicero)

She leaves behind her husband of 39 years Carmine Minichini,

her twin sister Karen Leonard, her brothers Frank Burdi and his wife Eliza,

Joseph Burdi & his wife Liz, brothers in law Anthony Minichini & his wife Lisa,

and Larry Minichini and his wife Christine.

Kathy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews

as well as her beloved dogs Brandi & Ginger.


Kathy spent most of her early career as a travel agent with Chartwell Tours

where she worked alongside her mom.

During her later years, she worked as the Office Manager at Mack Boring in Union.


In 2013, Kathy was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer.

She exhibited strength & courage in her battle with the disease.

She was a volunteer with the Cancer Hope Network

where she helped other women struggling with the same disease.

In May 2019, she was chosen to attend the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs-

an honor and one of the highlights of her life.


Kathy loved Sunday football & her 49ers,

Friday nights at the Chestnut Chateau,

the Yankees, horse racing, & playing the lottery.

Her home was always open & welcoming to her family & friends.

Christmas Eve was her favorite celebration of the year.

She will be especially missed for her positive spirit, and love of family & friends.

Memorials in her memory can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital

and the American Cancer Society.
