Leo Perez, 44, of Springfield died on Friday May 4, 2012.
The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Thursday at 9 am. Funeral mass at St. James Church Springfield at 10:30 am. Interment Restland Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday 4-8 pm
Born in Newark he lived in Irvington, Elizabeth, & New York City, before moving to Springfield 13 years ago. He was the co Owner of L & J Computing Solutions in Union for 6 years, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 11 in Livingston.
Leo was married to his wife Fern R. (nee Drucks) for 11 years and was the father of Daniel and Leo. He was the son of Donna Layden, and the late Leonides Perez Sr. and the brother of Danielle Stark, Daisy & Evelyn Gonzalez, Mary Ann Latorre, Rosie Perez Cruz, Nelly, Eva, and Carolyn, Mario, Leo Jr. Joey, and Tito Perez, Leo A. Gonzalez, Robert Valentine, Freddy Rivera, and the late Elvin (Papo) Gonzalez, He was also the Uncle of many nieces and nephews, and the Godfather of Jocelyn Mandeville.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the scholarship fund for Daniel and Leo Perez 16 Marion Ave. Springfield, N.J. 07081 in his memory.
