Leona Fernandez

Leona Fernandez of Clark, NJ passed peacefully on October 10,2022

 

Leona was born in Newark, NJ and lived there for 62 years. Leona was employed by the Newark Public Schools as a Head Secretary for 29 years before retiring. Leona loved spending time with her grandson Dominic who the love of her life. She also loved hanging out with her friends and enjoyed a great meal. She was the life of the party and always kept it real. Leona lived for her family and friends and had a heart of gold. 

 

Beloved mother of Jennifer Braga and her husband Paulo Braga, Nicholas Fernandez and his wife Fabiana Faria, and Mary Ellen Fernandez.  Grandmother to Dominic Francisco Braga 

 

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Leona at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave, Union on October 12, 2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Cremation will be held privately.
