Leonie Sylvia Hamilton

Create in me a pure heart, O God;

Leonie “Mitzie” Hamilton was born January 10, 1965 in Jamaica.  The daughter of the late King and Myrtle Hamilton.   

Leonie was known as the most happy, outspoken person who loved to help others.  She was very caring and loved to give.  

Leonie was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church.  

Leonie leaves to cherish her memory her son Samuel Reid (Theresa). Siblings, Eric (Cheryl), Fay, Gerald (Christine), Donovan (Terri), Andrew (Karen) and Alfred (Patricia).  She is survived by her aunts and uncle, her many nieces and nephews, grandson, cousins, and friends.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Leonie at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday, October 13, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The funeral service will be at Union United Methodist Church in Union on Friday, October 14 at 12 noon, followed by the interment at Hollywood Cemetery in Union.
