Leslie Masessa

Leslie J. Masessa (nee Stout), 54 of Maplewood passed away on December 16, 2016.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Wednesday December 21 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Wednesday from 9 AM to 12 noon.

Born in Glen Ridge, Leslie was a longtime Maplewood resident. Her graduation from Bloomsburg University in PA with a major in Liberal Arts led to a broad expansion of interests. Leslie's varied involvements over the years followed the variety of activities of her five children. Her earlier positions were in area children's care facilities. Later concerns focused on animal care; the evidence her home menagerie, the most recent addition a dragon lizard.  A lover of all animals, especially dogs and cats, she worked as a cashier at PetSmart in Millburn.

Leslie was the loving wife of Edward Masessa; mother of David, Daniel, Elizabeth, Alexandra and Emily; grandmother of Richard; and sister of Richard Stout.
