Lillian Romano

Lillian D. Romano, (nee Scala), 96, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at home.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p. m. and 7:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Friday, March 22, 2013. Funeral will be from Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ on Saturday at 10AM the funeral service will start at 10:30 AM. Entombment will be Graceland Memorial Park Kenilworth, NJ.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ, she moved to Union, NJ in 1940.

Lillian was office manager for several local companies before retiring.

She was a longtime member and President of the Union Opti-Mrs. Club as well as President of the Opti-Mrs 27 ^th District.

Her family always came first. Her intelligence, forthrightness, loyalty, work ethic, her love for her family as well as her veal cutlets are fondly remembered.

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Romano and sister of the late Gerald Scala.

She is survived by sister Anita Crosta; son Joseph Romano and wife Suzanne; daughter Joanne DeSilva and husband John; three grandchildren, Albert J. Romano and wife Karen; John W. Romano and wife Christina; and Suzanne L. Fernandez and husband William; and three great-grandchildren, Nikolas Romano; William Fernandez and Lily Fernandez.
