Linda C. Nunez (nee Vazquez) 69, of Monroe Twp. died on Sunday April 20, 2014 at St. Peter Medical Center in New Brunswick.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Friday at 9:30 am. The funeral mass is at Blessed Sacrament Church in Elizabeth at 11 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 pm.

Born in the Bronx, NY she lived in Elizabeth, and East Brunswick, before moving to Monroe Twp. 5 years ago. She was a bilingual secretary at the United Nations in New York City for 7 years. She then  stopped working to raise her family. Later on she became a Human Resources Specialist at Sealand Corp. in Port Elizabeth for 10 years, she is retired for 12 years.

Linda was married to her late husband Amadeo Nunez for 38 years until he passed away in 2007. She is the mother of Teresa Salgado and her husband Celso, and Antonio Nunez. She is also the daughter of Eduardo Fernandez, and his late wife Celia (nee Mera), and is the loving grandmother of Sara, Maya, and Jesse.
