Lorenzina C. Russo (nee Zamarra) 95 of Middlesex, passed away on

Friday December 22, 2017 at home.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue Union, on Thursday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in St. Michael Church in Union at 10:15 am. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park also in Union.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm.

Born in Italy she came to the United States and settled in Newark, and then lived in Irvington, and Union, before moving to Middlesex 20 years ago.

She was a seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union in Newark for 30 years,

retiring 45 years ago.

She was also a former member of the Rosary Society of St. Rocco Church in Newark.

Lorenzina was married to her late husband Dominick Russo for 68 years until he passed away in 2013.

She is the mother of Antoinette Kielwasser, Joseph Russo, and the late Mario Russo.

The sister of the late Paul Zamarra, she is also the grandmother of Dominick and Anthony Russo,  Marie Vera and her husband Jose, and the late Jay Kielwasser And his surviving wife Brooke,

as well as the great grandmother of Jiovanni, Jesenia, and Jordan Bryce. She is also survived by her caregiver Vivian Taylor.
