Louis R. Barbarisi

Louis Rocco Barbarisi (June 14, 1945 – May 27, 2023)
Louis entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in Toms River, New Jersey.
Louis was born in Newark, New Jersey. He is predeceased by his mother Catherine
(nee Gamba) and his father Fiore. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 56 years
Mildred (nee DiVona), his three children Michele Luciano (Tom), Louis Barbarisi and
Nicole DeGregorio (Anthony) and his loving grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicholas,
Gabriella and Vincent Luciano, Gianna, Anthony and Victoria DeGregorio and many
more friends and family.
Louis served in the Army National Guard from 1967-1971. He was first
employed by Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley, followed by Prudential in Newark as an
Electrical Engineer, prior to his retirement 25 years ago. He served as a councilman for
the Borough of Roseland for 12 years
“Pop” loved spending time with his family and grandchildren at the beach,
showing them his many magic tricks, playing cards and holiday game nights. He also
enjoyed his Sunday golf foursomes with his son, son-in-law and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Louis on Thursday, June 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at
Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Avenue, Caldwell New Jersey. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 3:30pm. Cremation will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association  in his loving memory.
