Louis Oscar Nobrega

Louis Oscar Nobrega, 59, of Basking Ridge, N.J., died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Thursday at 8:30 am. The Funeral Mass is at St. James Church in Springfield at 11 am. Interment to follow at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny.Visitation is Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 am.

Louis was born in Madeira, Portugal, and lived in Irvington and Newark before moving to Basking Ridge 25 years ago.

He worked as a blueprint reader/engineer at P & K Aluminum Pole Co. in Newark for 15 years and also as a maintenance man at Sister of Christian Charities in Mendham for 7 years.

Louis is survived by his mother Teresa (nee Gomes) Nobrega, his brother Carlos Nobrega, his sisters Nicholle Yapczenski and Anna Pontoriero, and his niece and nephew Donald and Katrina.
