Lucia Prisco of Union, N.J. passed away on Sunday January 19, 2020 at home. It is with broken hearts, our beloved Lucy was a strong warrior in her fight against cancer.  She never complained and fought to the bitter end. Lucy was and will always be an inspiration to all who loved her. God has gained a “Beautiful Angel”.

Born in Elizabeth, N.J. she grew up in Elizabeth before moving to Union 35 years ago.

Lucy was truly loved by all, her smile and personality would light up the room and she would be the life of the party! She was employed by the Union Police Department as a Traffic Enforcement Officer the past nine years. Prior to her public service, Lucy was Co-Owner of Prisco’s Meat and Deli where she and her brother Ralph proudly served the community for twenty eight years. Everyone enjoyed coming into the store for a laugh and what could be at times, a sincere ear that would always listen.

Above all, Lucy treasured time spent with her family and was the loving daughter of  the late Antonio Prisco who has welcomed her with open arms in heaven and her loving mother Immacolata Prisco who fought the battle with her, Sister to Salvatore & wife Diane Prisco, Joe & wife Portia Prisco, Ralph Prisco, Maria Prisco and Assuntina  & husband David Salcfas, Aunt to Anthony & wifeTara Prisco & John & wife Sandra Prisco, Saverio, Antonio, Jovanni, Sofia Salcfas, Janiya Prisco and five great nieces & nephew.

Visitation will take place on Thursday January 23rd, 2020 from 4:00PM - 8:00 PM at the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 24th, 2020 at 10 :15 AM at Saint James the Apostle Roman Catholic Church 45 South Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081 Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J. I
