Lucy A. Napoli
Lucy Ann Napoli was born to Carmen and Carmella Calabrese
on July 26, 1925.
Lucy was the last survivor of a dozen siblings.
She married her boyfriend David V. Napoli after his service in WWII.
They had three children, Russel, David and William,
and became guardians of their sister, Barbara,
at the request of her deceased parents.
Many relatives would gather at the Napoli home in the Ironbound Section of Newark
to celebrate the holidays, birthdays, barbeques and other occasions
where all were always welcome.
In her younger years, Lucy worked in a bank,
and after raising her children,
she worked for The Padovano Insurance and Motor Vehicle Agency in Newark
as an office manager for 20 years.
Lucy was admitted to Columbus Hospital for physical therapy
before her proposed transfer to a permanent senior care facility in West Orange.
Lucy went to sleep that Saturday evening, February the 16th,
and was called to heaven to be with all her departed family for an everlasting life.
She will always have a place in the hearts of all her beloved family and friends.
There will be a one day viewing on Thursday, February 21st
at The Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. in Union, NJ
from 10 am till noon followed by prayers
and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
