Luis A. Vargas 87 passed away on Dec. 1, 2019 of Newark.

Husband of Santa (nee Pagan)

Father of the late Santa Vargas.

Brother of Iris Martell.

Grandfather of Luis, Casey, Alex, Jasmine and Ruben

Great grandfather of 9.

Luis was born in Maricao, Puerto Rico and settled in Brooklyn NY in 1956.

He was an Executive Chef in New York City for 22 years.

After moving to Newark he worked for the Ivy Hill Apartments for 15 years before his retirement.

There will be a funeral service in the Galante Funeral Home at 2800 Morris Ave., Union on Thursday at 10AM.

Interment at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth NJ.

Visitation on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM.
