Margaret DelliSanti

Margaret DelliSanti, 82, passed away on May 27, 2017 at The Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Freehold.

The funeral is from the Galante Funeral home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union, on Thursday, June 1 at 9 a.m., thence to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Newark, for the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 31 from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born in Newark, Margaret was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound section, and was a teacher's aide at Oliver Street School in Newark for over 25 years, retiring in 2001. She was also a member of the Italian American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, Newark Post #8, and a member of the Newark Ironbound Senior Citizens Friday Club.

Margaret is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Donna and Jack Gittleman. She is also survived by her sister Rose Partesi. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Edmund Partesi, and sisters Jennie DeGeorge and Marie Labato. Margaret was adored by her only grandchild, Danielle Gittleman. She was the former wife of Donato DelliSanti. Margaret is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
