Maria De Oliveira

Our darling Maria De Oliveira born on November 16, 1939 in Avanca, Portugal left us on July 14, 2022. Maria moved to the United states in 1971. She has left behind a loving husband of 60 years Armando De Oliveira, two children Fatima Soares and Avelino Oliveira, son in law Jose Soares, daughter in law Zelia Oliveira; granddaughters Angela Soares Fidalgo, Jessica Pereira, Caitlyn Oliveira Medina, Melanie Oliveira, and Kelsey Oliveira and great grandsons Bruno Figueiredo, Rafael Fidalgo, Ethan Pereira. They will all miss her very much. Maria loved attending her local church and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed dancing, singing and eating apple pie. She always brought a smile to everyone’s face. We take comfort in knowing that Maria is at peace, with God, surrounded by light.

Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Viewing services will be held at Galante Funeral Home in Union on Tuesday July 19, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Church services at Our Lady of Fatima in Newark at 9:00am on Wednesday July 20, 2022. Friends are asked to meet directly at church.  Burial to follow church at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum in North Arlington.
