Maria De Pinto, age 97 passed away on December 28 2021.

Born in Molfetta, Italy, she came to America in 1970.   Maria lived in Springfield before moving to Mountainside 5 years ago.  Maria is survived by her son Domenico De Pinto and his wife Josephine, her son Nicola De Pinto and his wife Nunzia, her daughter, Olympia De Pinto and her son in law Danny Cicchino.  She was the sister of Susanna, the late Cosma, the late Damiana, the late Pasqua, the late Michele and the late Pasquale. She leaves behind her grandchildren Michael, Maryann, Nicholas, Melissa, Marc and Alessandra, as well as 9 great grandchildren.

Maria was the matriarch of the family and she was respected and loved by everyone.  She loved to read, cook and always made sure that everyone ate. Maria loved her family more than anything.

Services are being held privately, in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union.
