Maria Mazzella

Maria Mazzella (nee Aiello), 87 of Wayne passed away on February 9, 2016.

Born in Ventotene, Italy, Maria moved to Newark in 1954. She lived there until moving to Totowa in 1979, and then to Wayne in 2008. Together with her husband Mario, they owned and operated Clinton Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Newark for many years before retiring. She loved cooking for and spending time with her family, gardening and travelling to Florida and Italy. Forever in touch with her roots, she always loved and appreciated Italian music and culture.

Maria was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Mario Mazzella until his passing in 2008. She was the loving mother of Bruna Klafter and her husband Jon; wonderful grandmother to Tanya and her husband Alex, and Laura and her husband Jeff; special great-grandmother to Aliana, Isabella, Lucas and Evan, loving aunt to Angelo and Maria, and beloved friend to Michele and Margherita.

Services are private, under the direction of the Galante Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave. Caldwell.
