Maria Russo (nee Vernillo), 89 of Springfield passed away on June 16, 2022.

Born in Naples, Italy, Maria moved to Brooklyn in 1971 and has lived in Springfield since 2005. A dedicated home maker, Maria loved to bake. She enjoyed reading, and the occasional sushi dinner. Above all, Maria treasured time spent with her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maria was the beloved wife of Aldo Russo; loving mother of Tina Russo and her husband Fulvio Esposito and Maria Guidicipietro and her husband Michael; cherished grandmother of Jason Guidicipietro (Dana), Kevin Guidicipietro (Yaniva). Paola Dolcemascolo (Kate Schlunz) and Monica Dolcemascolo (Martina Russo); and adoring great-grandmother of Rocco, Santino, Gianna, Luca and Isabella.
