Marian Riccio

Marian Riccio (nee Surdi), 94, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

The funeral  is from the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave., Union, NJ on Monday at 8:30 AM. The Funeral Mass is at St. Michael’s Church , Union at 10:15 AM. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visitation is Sunday from 3–7 pm.

Born in Newark, she lived in Union for 40 years before moving to Georgia 20 years ago.

Marian was a co-owner of Riccio’s Food Market  in Union for over 20 years.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1986. Surviving are her sons Frederick and his wife Carol, Joseph Jr. and his wife Judy, daughter Barbara Kallas and her husband Glen. She is the sister of   Robert Surdi, and Antoinette Facciponte and the late Benjamin and Vincent Surdi. Grandmother of Michael Riccio and his wife Betty, Christopher, Daniel, and Alexa Kallas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 or  Hospice Care of the Low Country P.O. Box 3827 Bluffton, SC 29910 in her memory.
