Marie C. Colucci 91, (nee Lamiera) of Newark, died on Wednesday May 21, 2014, at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 17 Pacific St. at Walnut St Newark (Ironbound) on Saturday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Newark at 9:30 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm.

Born in the Ironbound Section of Newark she was a lifelong resident. She was a secretary for the Engineering Department of Essex County for many years retiring in 1993. She was also a member of the Ironbound Senior Citizens Club and The Independence Park Senior Citizens Friday Club. in Newark.

She was a very loving and caring person, and was always smiling when she was around her family and friends.

Marie was married to her late husband Nicholas Colucci for 32 years until he passed away in 1978. She is the mother of Theresa and the late Donald Colucci. She is the daughter of the late Lucy (nee Serratelli) and Joao Lameira, and is the sister of Joseph Lamera, John Lamiera, and the late Ray Lamere, as well as the grandmother of Nicholas Colucci.
