Marie A. De Vita

Marie A. De Vita (nee Visco) 88, of Iselin, passed away on Monday July 8 ^th , 2013 at The  Aristocare at Norwood Terrace Care Facility in  Plainfield.

The funeral service will be conducted in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue in Union on Thursday July 11 ^th , 2013 at 11 am. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 9 – 11 am.

Born in Newark she lived in Bloomfield, before moving to Iselin 25 years ago. She was the former owner of the Petite Beauty Salon in East Orange for 10 years. After that she became a lunch aide for the Plainfield Public School District for 7 years, until  she retired in 2002.

Marie was the mother of John J. De Vita Jr. and the late Paula De Vita. She was also the sister of the late Joseph, Anthony, Dr. John, and Nicholas Visco, as well as the grandmother of Angelina, and Maria Brescia.
