Sadly we announce the passing of Marie L. Nardo (Nee Ciccarelli) on Monday March 24, 2014 to her eternal place in heaven.
Funeral from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Saturday at 8:30 am. The funeral mass at St. James Church Springfield at 9:30 am. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
Marie has left us a legacy of good work as a loving mother of three sons and a loving wife to her husband Domenick. She leaves a family and friends who loved her immensely and who are deep in grieving of this heart breaking loss. Her illness which took her away never diminished her tenacity and courage to overcome it. The victory is hers.
Marie was born in Newark, lived in Irvington and lived in Bayville. She graduated from West Side High School. Marie worked for AT&T / Lucent for 20 years retired 28 years. Marie was an ardent member of her church, St. Paul the Apostle Church Irvington. She served many years as a Eucharistic Minister, also was a member of the Rosary Society for many years, served on the parish council, and committees, and eventually became vice president. Also she is a communicant at St Barnabas Church Bayville.
She is survived by her husband Domenick and her sons Anthony J. Nardo and his wife Rosemary, John D. Nardo and his wife Marcy, and Domenick (Nick) G. Nardo. Sister of Angela Anello and her family. Her brother in law Raymond G. Nardo and his wife Antoinette and their family. Her sister in law Isabelle (Nardo) Mossay and her daughter Michele Mossay.
