Marina Gregorio

Marina Gregorio (nee Berenguer) 88, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.

The funeral will be from the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Avenue, Union on Wednesday at 9 am. The funeral mass will be in St. Theresa Church  in Kenilworth at 10:30 am. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm..

Marina was raised in Callosa d'Ensarria, Alicante, Spain, she was a proud Callosina. She had a devotion to the "Virgin de las Injurias" and would travel in retirement to Spain each year with her beloved husband, Jaime to the "Festes" celebrating the Virgin.

Marina was a wonderful homemaker and seamstress, with a joy for cooking, pride in sewing her daughter's wardrobes and making home a loving place to gather for family and friends.

Everyone in her circle at one time or another received a hand crocheted blanket made with love and care.

Marina originaly lived in Newark and for the last 49 years lived in Kenilworth, NJ.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jaime and parents Remedios and Domingo Berenguer.  She is survived by her daughters  Isabel Walsh and her husband Pat, and Remedios Gregorio, her grandchildren Damian and Sean Walsh, and, Jessica and her husband Nick Guadino and great-granddaughter, Penelope, as well as sisters and a brother and many nephews and nieces in the US and Spain.
