MARK MOSKOVITZ
Mark E. Moskovitz, a 20-year resident of Short Hills, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, with his wife and son at his bedside at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. Mr. Moskovitz was born Dec. 23, 1952, in Waterbury, Conn., and moved at age seven to Belle Harbor, Queens. He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1973 and earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Mr. Moskovitz, since 2009 the Deputy Director of the Medicaid Fraud Division of the NJ State Comptroller’s Office, started his career as a Legal Aid Society attorney in Manhattan, served for many years as Special Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Director for New York City of the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit for the NY State Attorney General, and also as a compliance attorney for Barnabas Health. He married Missy Harris in 1994 and their son Theodore was born the next year.
