Mary Ancona

Mary Ancona (Mae) 103 yrs. old of Brick New Jersey passed away with family by her side on March 21st 2019 joining her husband Armand in eternal light.

Mary was born in Newark, New Jersey to Vito and Josephine Adamo. She resided in East Orange, New Jersey then move to Belleville, New Jersey before settling in Brick, New Jersey.  Mary graduated ARTS of school in Newark, New Jersey. Later she worked Bamberger's in Newark New Jersey for 45 years. Mary enjoyed cooking, playing cards with her siblings, and going to the beach. She was an avid NY Yankees fan. Mary will be remembered by her unwavering commitment to her family who she loved very deeply. She will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Mary was an advocate wife, Aunt, sibling and friend. She is survived by her sister Francis Travaglianti, Ellie Martin, and Frank Adamo and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her husband Armand Ancona, her brother Tom Adamo, her sisters Rosemary Coppola, Jessie Francischetti, and Violet Caponetto.

A celebration of Mary's life will be at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave.  Union, New Jersey with services held from 10 am to 12 noon on Wednesday March 27, 2019.
