Mary Joan Corris

Mary J. Corris, 91 of Whiting passed away peacefully on July 31, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service for Mary at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown on Monday August 5 at 2PM. Arrangements are in the care of the Galante Funeral Home in Union.

Born in Scranton, PA, Mary was raised in Bloomfield and later lived in Clifton before becoming a longtime resident of Lincoln Park. She and her dear husband moved to Whiting in 2007. Mary worked as a secretary for Thomas Electronics in Wayne until her retirement in 1985. 

Mary cherished the friendships she made at Crestwood Manor in Whiting, and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She will be sorely missed also by the many caring staff members who she held near to her heart.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Charles Corris; loving mother of Mary Hillis and her husband Cameron, Paul Corris and his wife Regina, and the late Charles Corris. She was the treasured grandmother of Amanda Corris, Daniel Corris and Shane Hillis, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
