Mary Mahon (nee Piegaro) 89 of Newark passed away on October 29, 2014 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.

The funeral  will be from  the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday at 9 AM. The Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Newark at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will take place on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM.

Born in Newark, N.J. she was a lifelong resident of the Ironbound Section of Newark.

Mary was a lifelong N.Y.Yankee fan and loved to bake. She worked as a supervisor at the Academy Die Casting Company in Newark and Edison for 60 years retiring many years ago.

She is the wife of the late Bernard J. Mahon.  The mother of Bernie and his wife Stacy. Grandmother of Shannon, Sean and Sophie.
