Mary Ann Rettino

Mary Ann Rettino, 76 of Parlin passed away on October 23, 2020.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral for Mary Ann at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Thursday October 29 at 9 AM. A Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michaels Church in Union at 10:15 AM. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park. Visitation is on Wednesday October 28 from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. Those attending services are reminded to please wear a mask at all times.

Born in Newark, and a 1961 graduate of Union High School, Mary Ann lived in Parlin since 1986. After working at several law firms, Mary Ann served as a paralegal for Conrad & Vincent for 20 years until retiring in 2019. A talented pool shark and poker player, Mary Ann competed in billiards leagues for the past 25 years, winning many trophies and awards along the way. An excellent cook, she loved to entertain and spend time with family and friends. She was a music lover and avid concert goer, and also enjoyed playing the piano. Mary Ann cared for all animals, and especially held her cats near to her heart.

The daughter of the late George and Palmina (nee Cecere) Scuorzo, Mary Ann is survived by the father of her children Pat DelGrosso, whom she married in 1966. She was the loving mother of her son Michael DelGrosso and his partner Jackie, and her daughter Christine Paldino; cherished grandmother of Sofia, Sara, Ciara, Rebecca, Isabella, Hanna and Vincent; treasured great-grandmother of Gianna. She was the dear sister of George Scuorzo, Jr. and his wife Serviss, and is also survived by her dear companion, Jim, her loving nieces Jody and Stacey, and by several cousins and great-nieces. Mary Ann was predeceased by her dear niece, Tracy.
