Michael "Buff" Racioppi
Michael "Buff" Racioppi. age 84, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Newark, Michael and his wife resided in Springfield since 1958.
Michael's family was the most important thing in his life and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He was the proud owner of Jimmy Buff's Italian Hot Dogs, which was established in 1932 in Newark. He was honored at Dasti's Italian Festival in 1982.
He is predeceased by one daughter, Linda Loikith, and a brother, Thomas Racioppi. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucille (nee Di Vincent), two daughters, Maryann Nittoly of Mountainside and her husband Paul, and Michele Cinicolo of Springfield, 6 grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Matthew, Angela, Luciana, and Linda, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation from
2-4pm
&
7-9 pm on Friday, June 20, 2014
at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Avenue, Union. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at
10am on Saturday
at St. James R.C. Church, Springfield. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Lupus foundation of America, 150 Morris Ave, Springfield Township, NJ, 07081 or the Springfield First Aid Squad, 10 N Trivett Ave, Springfield Township, NJ, 07081 .
