Michael L. Rhodes (Pops) 69, of Short Hills died on Thursday December 5, 2013 at Haven Hospice @ JFK Medical Center in Edison.

The funeral will be from  the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. in Union on Saturday at 9:30 am. The funeral Service will be at 10:30 am. Interment will follow In Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Born in New York City, he lived in Maplewood before moving to Short Hills 30 years ago. He was a Self Employed photographer who recently retired.

Michael was married to his wife Francine (nee De Mattia) for 42 years. He is the father of Rebecca Vlacich and her husband Sergio, Gabriel Rhodes and his wife Dionne, and Sarah Pallino and her husband Jeffrey. He is also the grandfather of Adrianna, Santino, Parker and Anthony.
