Michael A. Tomaselli

Michael A. Tomaselli 80, of Monroe Township and Manahawkin, passed away on  August 25, 2014.

The funeral is from the Biondi Funeral Home 540 Franklin ave. Nutley, on Friday at 9 am. The funeral mass is at Holy Family Church in Nutley at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow to Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-7 pm.

Mike was the 7 ^th son & 14 ^th child born to Filomena & Anthony Tomaselli

He was pre-deceased by his wife of 45 years, Alice (Iannuzzi) Tomaselli, by sisters Carrie, Gill, Rose, Anna, Mary, & Minnie, and his brothers Tommy, Danny, Tato, JB, and Rocco.

He is survived by his sister Millie Auriemma and his brother Anthony (Jr).

His cherished grand children Tara & Robert Orangeo and their parents Diane & Bob Orangeo, Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

He was on of the first Eucharistic Ministers for Holy Family Church, mandated April 15, 1976. He was a communicant for Nativity RC Church, Monroe Township.

Mike worked 56 years in the newspaper business, 20 years with the Newark Evening News, 36 years with the New York Times. He retired in 2007.

Mike and his wife enjoyed traveling to California, Florida, West Indies, Mexico, Pacific North West, Italy, Alaska, and cruising Hawaii. He also enjoyed sun bathing. He enjoyed American Sign Language using it as often a possible.
