Michael Zillante

Michael Zillante, 60 of Brick, formerly of Millburn, passed away on February 14, 2019.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Michael at the Galante Funeral Home, 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 1 PM, with the entombment to follow at the Chapels at Short Hills.

Born in San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Benevento, Italy, Michael moved with his family to Millburn when he was three years old, residing there his entire life until moving to Brick in 2017 with his good friends Eddie and Val Jones. Michael was a respected self-employed mason for many years throughout Essex and Union counties, also working for his friends at Hamilton's Construction, and PJ Palmer. Michael was an avid boater and fisherman, and enjoyed spending days out on the water with his many friends. Michael was great with kids, and absolutely loved his mother, whom he cared for immensely in her final years, and honored through everything he did.

Michael was the dear son of the late Raffael and Maria (nee Delledonne) Zillante; loving twin brother of Carmelina Taylor; special uncle of Chase Allen Taylor, Tonya Dutton and her husband Richard, and Jennifer Maffei and her husband John; and is also survived by Casey Jones, who was like a son to him. Michael is also survived by his great-niece, and by four great-nephews.
